Species for the Inland West - Northwest Meadowscapes

Interior West

Restore the splendor of western ecology with resilient native species adapted to the varied and sweeping landscapes of interior North America.

When selecting species for habitat projects in the broader west, we recommend close consideration of elevation, local precipitation and soil drainage characteristics, and the presence of invasive weeds such as cheatgrass.

While planting conditions across the west are nuanced and variable, the West historically had some of the greatest plant diversity in North America. With thoughtful and dedicated work, these landscapes can be maintained in beautiful, and highly resilient conditions.
