Minnesota Mini-Melon Seeds
Developed at the University of Minnesota in the 1940s as a small dessert melon for cool climates and short growing seasons – this is a splendid, fabulous-tasting, and fast-growing miniature (softball-sized) cantaloupe that grows on short 3- to 5-foot-long vines. Sliced in half, they make a memorable two-serving dessert melon.
Typically producing 5 to 10 fruit per vine, these charming fruits mature in only about 60 to 70 days. The small-sized plants actually do quite well in containers (but will want ample water).
Due to the small size of these melons, they have a limited storage life compared to much larger fruit and are best eaten immediately when picked (this is why you’ve probably never seen one of these miniature melons for sale). Decently disease resistant.
Approximately 40 seeds (0.8 grams).
